Homework

Homework Challenges (Have you got what it takes?)

  1. Spellings will come home on Monday to practice. Can you use them in your writing during the week? You will receive a Tea-party token every time you use them correctly.
  2. Reading for at least 10 minutes for 5 or more days a week will earn you reading points. These can be collected and traded in for a special readers award every 1/2 term.
  3. Times Tables are practiced every Wednesday. One team point will be awarded for every 10 correct answers in the set time.

Welcome Meerkats!

September4

I am so excited to start the new year with you

Did you know that Meerkats live in groups called ‘mobs’ which are made up of 2-3 families of meerkats. One mob shares a single burrow.

They are highly social animals and they like to play or groom each other.

Besides fun time, each member of the mob has its own duty which benefits the whole group.

When they hunt, some members look out for the predators, while others work on the hunting strategy.

In case of danger, meerkats alert other members of the mob using specific sounds.

What fun facts about Meerkats can you find out?
